Get the festivities started with ice skating at the Shipyards! The Shipyard Commons outdoor skate plaza is the region’s largest outdoor skating rink. The rink is located on the waterfront at The Shipyards, and is set against the beautiful backdrop of downtown Vancouver and the North Shore mountains. You can head here for daily skating – skate rentals are available as well.

Little Mountain Shop Holiday Pop-Up at the Polygon Gallery

While you’re at the Shipyards, walk over to the Polygon Gallery to continue your Christmas shopping. Featuring an all-Canadian lineup of mostly-local, women-led, BIPOC makers and creatives, with dozens of vendors, The Holiday Pop-Up is the go-to destination for sustainably-minded products by these sought-after makers this festive season. Canyon Lights has returned to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and will run until Sunday, January 23rd, 2022 (closed December 25th). New this season – the world-famous bridge will be lit, end to end, with a multi-colour changing display, adding to the magic of crossing the canyon above the illuminated Capilano River. Enjoy live festive tunes and explore the Park in search of lit snowy owls in the popular Snowy Owl Prowl scavenger hunt to win a grand prize Canadian Rockies trip.
