DINE OUT VANCOUVER FESTIVAL

The 2023 Dine out Vancouver Festival is officially in full swing! Keep reading to find which dining options I recommend exploring from now until February 5th.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Dine Out Vancouver Festival is Canada’s largest restaurant festival where hundreds of restaurants put on special 3-course menus at great prices, ranging from $20 – $65. This is the time to branch out and explore new restaurants, or double down and enjoy specially made menus at your favourite local spots.

This year, here are a few locations I highly recommend visiting!

Minami Restaurant
First up we have my downtown Vancouver favourite – Minami. Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Yaletown, Minami follows the pioneering footsteps of its sister restaurant, Miku, in delivering the innovative dining experience of Aburi cuisine to Vancouver’s thriving food scene. Each piece of sushi is flame-seared using a blowtorch and binchotan (oak charcoal), resulting in sushi with a smoky aroma and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Their menu is absolutely incredible, I could not recommend this spot more to any sushi lover out there!

1931 Gallery Bistro
Framed by tall concrete columns and suspended above the Vancouver Art Gallery’s lobby, this bistro and patio showcase culinary creativity using wholesome ingredients. I highly recommend visiting this location for an unforgettable experience!

Ancora
Ancora’s cuisine manifesto is hinged on sustainable seafood, while sourcing local and international ingredients, and draws inspiration from its Pacific Northwest surroundings. Understanding the city’s dining evolution has inspired Ancora to create a menu that accommodates all of its diners’ culinary desires, combining flavours and techniques which embrace several diverse cultures in a modern, yet approachable setting.

The Village Taphouse
If you’re looking for more casual, yet delicious dining, Taphouse is definitely worth a visit. After a day out at Park Royal Shopping Centre, the food and drinks at Taphouse will be calling your name – not to mention the incredibly cozy ambience.

Fishworks
If you’d prefer to stay local, make sure to head over to Fishworks, a seafood restaurant that utilizes the bounty of fresh seafood from our unique and celebrated West Coast. Timeless classics are featured as well as contemporary, modern cuisine.
