My living room Tower Garden® with with mostly salads, herbs and Swiss Chard!
In 2014, we moved from a 12000 sf lot in North Vancouver to a 3 acre hobby farm in Kamloops. With all this land, I became obsessed with being as self sustainable as possible. I even shared a cow with a neighbour at one point!
Two years ago, I got my hands on a used Tower Garden® unit and it was love at first sight! I have never done any other growing than the traditional, so this was a real eye opener!
To be able to grow throughout the winter, in the comfort of my living room, was a game changer! It doesn’t get any fresher or more nutritious! I couldn’t be happier with it!
It saves the planet too, no transport and packaging of produce, up to 90% less water usage, compact use of space, higher and faster yields!
And a nice byproduct of its lights is that it has helped me with my seasonal affective disorder! The sound of the trickling water is also very zen and soothing!
