Lynn Valley Village

If you’re a North Vancouverite, chances are you’ve stopped by Lynn Valley Village before. The real question is – do you know the best spots to check out when there?

As a North Shore local, this is one of my favourite places to grab a coffee, get some delicious food with family, do a little shopping, and even sweat a little.

The pedestrian-only village has a diverse selection of shops and services. Many of the shops and services focus on environmentally conscious products and green alternatives, in keeping with the lifestyle and landscape of the Lynn Valley Community.

Personally, there seems to always be an excuse to pop into Lynn Valley Village, keep reading to check out my go-to spots and some of my favourite local hikes and parks in the surrounding Lynn Valley area!

Coffee

I love starting off any day with a hot cup of coffee, and while I can’t head to Delany’s every morning, on these cool Winter weekends you can find me unwinding here! In the Summers’ especially it’s my favourite spot to grab an iced coffee, a snack, and lounge in the sun (their outdoor seating is amazing)!

Eats

If you’re looking to grab a bite to eat, Lynn Valley Village has some delicious options!

Browns Social House is a great place to grab an afternoon cocktail and enjoy some happy hour appies with a close friend. Their menu offers a wide variety of options, everything from weekend brunch, delicious lunch options, and the perfect dinner items – my favourite is the Dragon Tofu Bowl. If you’re not feeling up to dining out, they also offer delivery through Skip the Dishes!

Valley Sushi is one of my all time favourite Sushi spots. Their service is exceptional, and their menu covers all of your favourite Japanese foods – if you stop by or order from them, give their Ramen a go.

Nourish Market is the new kid on the block in Lynn Valley Village and I am so excited to have a new healthy option available in the Village. They offer 100% organic farm-fresh produce, local artisan baked goods, ethically raised meats, handmade cheeses and gourmet items from all over. Their togo salads are delicious and they carry tons of local products.

Shop

A village isn’t complete without a few shops. If there’s anyone in your life that deserves a little spoiling, head to Posy – Flowers and Gifts.

The boutique store not only sells beautiful flower arrangements, but also carries luxury orchids, plants, succulents and a variety of tasty treats.

VanPet is another of my favourite stores in the village, I love picking up some tasty treats for my dog anytime I’m near. They offer a variety of natural, human grade dog and cat foods (dry, canned, and frozen), treats, and natural supplements.

Health

Another reason I love Lynn Valley Village is because of all of the health facilities it has, whether I’m looking to workout, need to check in with my Naturopath, update my glasses prescription, or go in to see my dentist, the Village seriously has me covered.

Local Hikes and Parks

The Village is also surrounded by so many beautiful hikes and parks. My favourite place to explore nature in the area is Lynn Canyon. You can check out their trail map online to plan your next hike. On sunny & warmer days I also recommend checking out Lynn Headwaters Park. It’s a great place to bring your dog, have a picnic, and sit by the river.
