Soak in the Spring air

The days are getting longer and Spring weather is slowly headed our way. If you’re searching for beautiful, scenic spots around town to soak in the Spring air over the next few weeks, keep reading!

Lynn Canyon

First up is Lynn Canyon. There’s something so refreshing about the open air, greenery, and sunlight peaking through the tree tops at Lynn Canyon. There are several trails you can explore here, my go-to is a leisurely hike including the popular Baden Powell Trail. There are also many breathtaking waterfalls and popular swimming holes that are perfect for a refreshing swim during the Summer months. I’d recommend checking them out throughout Spring and planning your Summer swimming destinations!

For those of you driving over to Lynn Canyon, follow Lynn Valley Road North East past the Mountain Highway intersection, and then continue to Lynn Valley Road. Watch for the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre sign on the right hand side of the road. Turn right onto Peters Road, and you will find the main entrance at the end. Personally, I’ve gotten a bit turned around in my first few visits here, so I thought a little pointers on direction could be helpful!

Mount Seymour

If you’re feeling up for more of an early-morning adventure, you can head up to the top of Mount Seymour to capture a fantastic Spring sunrise. This is one of my favourite spots and the sunrise is definitely worth the early morning wakeup call.

Lighthouse Park

Lighthouse Park is another great option to explore over the coming weeks. This is a popular attraction for locals and is absolutely breathtaking when the sun begins to set. With our days feeling longer and a bit warmer, Lighthouse Park is the perfect destination for that refreshing Spring feeling.

VanDusen Botanical Garden

If you’re in the mood for something a little less sunrise/sunset, and a little more booming with florals, make sure to check out VanDusen Botanical Garden. Starting March 20th, VanDusen Gardens will be in full on Spring mode! You can expect to see Early Rhododendrons, Helleborus, Winter Aconite (Eranthus hyemalis), Crocus, and Cornelian Cherries blooming. Additionally, the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival will be returning to VanDusen Botanical Garden with Sakura Days Japan Fair on April 9 & 10, 2022! Save the date!

Loving these suggestions? I hope you give them a visit over the coming weeks and enjoy the fresh Spring air!
