Pumpkin Patch Season!

With Thanksgiving and Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to make a trip to a Pumpkin Patch to pick up and carve your pumpkins! Over the weekend, I visited Richmond Country Farms where my close friends and I were able to take a ride along, explore a corn maze, enjoy the beautiful Dahlias floral field, and of course take home a pumpkin each of our choice.

If you’re thinking of heading to the Pumpkin Patch I visited, you can either do the Pumpkin Promenade which requires you to walk out to the Pumpkin Patch and pick one pumpkin of your choice, or do the Wagon Experience.

Should you choose the walk out, you would head down to the Pumpkin Patch and enjoy the beautiful sights, Corn Maze, and the various food vendors. Tickets are final sale and non-exchangeable, click here to purchase in advance (you must purchase online and book your visit time, make sure to checkout carefully as the tickets are non-refundable).

Another option which I would definitely recommend is booking the Wagon Experience where you can ride out to and from the Pumpkin Patch on a tractor-drawn Wagon, with an entertainer who will make sure your ride is enjoyable at all times – just remember to bring a mask! While you ride through, there are spooky Halloween inspired props set up to get you in the holiday mood, as well as tons of other fun props around the fields that you can spot while you enjoy the ride. Once you get off the Wagon, you can head to the maze/ Dahlias field / vendors, or to the private Pumpkin Patch that is there just for Wagon riders!

Here’s a peek at what you can expect to see once you’re in the Dahlias fields – a seriously beautiful sight!

This fun experience is great for all ages, because who can go wrong with seeing gorgeous flowers and picking out their own pumpkin to carve?

The Pumpkin Patch is located at 12900 Steveston HWY and is open weekdays 10:00am to 4:30pm and weekends & holidays 10:00am to 4:30pm. Make sure to book your tickets and visit this awesome farm for a fun day with friends or family. Trust me, you won’t regret this activity!

Oh, and here’s a quick and easy recipe for roasting the fresh pumpkin seeds you’ll be retrieving from your pumpkins!
